Helping the Hopeless in Haiti Thank you for your concern for those that have been effected by the earthquake in Haiti. At Calvary Murrieta we realize that you have many choices to support ministries that are currently helping the Haitians that have been displaced or injured by the earthquake. We have chosen a few ministries to partner with. We have them listed below. Haiti Endowment Fund has been working in Haiti for the last 28 years. They have many contacts. Pastor Brian is traveling into Haiti with them on a medical outreach. Calvary Murrieta served Samaritans Purse during Katrina and we are excited to support them as they set up a hospital in PAP. One of the things that everyone needs is a clean source of drinking water. Sawyer products has a very simple and efficient water filter that can be used by anyone in need of safe water. We have included their information as well. Please continue to keep the country of Haiti in your Daily prayers. HEF is in need of medical professionals starting on the 25st. They will then rotate in medical teams into Haiti weekly. If any medical personnel desire to go please contact HEF on their web site.They would accept any donations to help them treat Haitians and care for the teams. www.haitiendowmentfund.org Samaritans Purse is looking for Medical volunteers as well. Currently they have a 17 member medical team in PAP. If you have questions please send him an email. Calvary Murrieta is responding to this terrible tragedy in Haiti. Pastor Brian is on a 25 member medical team, through H.E.F. (Haiti Endowment Fund) which will be providing care & relief for those in the city of Hinche on Haiti’s upper plateau. Hinche has swollen to 3 times its size from those coming from Port-au-Prince. We will be assessing the best ways to help our friends in Haiti this week and sharing with them in very practical ways the love of Jesus Christ. We have started a Haiti Relief Fund, in which 100% of every dollar donated will go directly to providing for the basic needs for the people of Haiti.
